Instructions

The form above will allow you to search the News*Bytes newsletter archives. Search results will include publisher/publication, state, date article published, article title, short excerpt, Web link URL, article classification (heading), News*Bytes issue, and reporter name, and can be downloaded as a text file or MSWord document.

Searches will be most successful if you only specify State, Year, Month, and/or Article Classification. For example, a search for articles in Alabama will be more successful if you concentrate on year, month, and article classification, rather than attempt to enter specific words for Title and Summary. This is because the database only contains a short excerpt from the article, and not the entire text. Also, you do not have to fill out any of the text boxes in order to search.

We’re not able to offer the complete text of news stories in the database due to the “Fair Use” copyright law, which allows for reprinting of 1-2 sentences of copyrighted material without legal permission. Including the entire article in the database would require permissions for over 5,000 separate articles.

You can access articles by going directly to the publication’s web site. In most cases, the article will be available through their archive.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact Mike Ambrose, Communications Director, CDHP, mambrose@cdhp.org.
